Kohler, – July 9, 2021 – Arts at the Waelderhaus welcomes the Honeygoats on Sunday, July 25 at 2 p.m. The performance will be an outdoor concert held on the front lawn of the Waelderhaus. Attendees will get to enjoy the bluegrass music of the Honeygoats and delectable delights from area food trucks.
The Honeygoats are an emerging bluegrass band from Plymouth, Wisconsin. Since the band’s inception in 2015, the ‘Goats have steadily crafted their high-energy brand of bluegrass, built on the raw, unbridled spirit of traditional bluegrass, newgrass, classic country, blues, funk, and a variety of other creative inspirations. The Honeygoats received a Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) nomination for Bluegrass/Americana Artist of the Year in 2020 and enter 2021 fresh off the release of their debut album, Four Years in Three Days.
Guests are encouraged to arrive early and hungry to purchase various menu items from Fleck’s Curbside Grill and the John Michael Kohler Arts Center Culinary Art Car. Fleck’s and the Art Car food trucks will be open at 12:45 p.m. and serve until 4 p.m. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase.
Admission to “Arts at the Waelderhaus” is free, and reservations are strongly encouraged. Guests should bring a low-profile lawn chair or blanket for the outdoor performance. If the weather is inclement the concert will move indoors to the Kohler Memorial Theater, located at 260 School Street in Kohler. The Waelderhaus is managed by Kohler Foundation and offers unique cultural events throughout the year. It’s located at 1100 W. Riverside Dr., Kohler, and is open daily (except holidays) to the public for guided tours free of charge at 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m.
