The YMCA Youth basketball program provides an excellent opportunity for youth to participate with others in a healthy activity led by volunteer coaches. The emphasis of this league is on sportsmanship, skill development, teamwork and equal participation. Children in kindergarten โ grade 1 will play in a coed league. Boys and girls will play in their own leagues in grades 2 โ 3.
ยท One hour practices begin in December. Practices are held once a week and are arranged by volunteer coaches.
ยท Games begin January 7 on Saturday morning or early afternoon. If community gymnasiums are not available, all practices and games will be at the Sheboygan YMCA or Sheboygan Falls YMCA.
ยท Parents of registered players will be called and/or emailed by their coach by November 27, 2022.
ยท Volunteer coaches are needed for the success of this program! The coachโs meeting is at 6:30pm on Tuesday, November 15 at the Sheboygan Falls YMCA. Coaches are required to fill out a Volunteer Application Packet prior to the start of the season.
